Sound and sync in Casttit
Casttit brings your game's sound to your PC: into your headset while you play, and into OBS for your stream.
Choose your headset
- Pick it in Casttit's Headset list. The change applies at once, for Android and iPhone.
- Windows default follows whatever Windows uses; the list shows which device that is right now.
- Plugged in a headset after Casttit started? Press the re-scan button next to the list to see it there.
- If your chosen headset is unplugged, Casttit plays on the Windows default and says so, then goes back to your headset when it's plugged in again.
Your phone goes quiet
With Mute phone speaker ticked, the phone stays silent while you stream; your PC still gets the full game sound. When you stop, the phone's volume comes back as it was.
Volume
Casttit's Volume slider sets the game's level on your PC and in OBS. Keys: M mutes, + and - change the volume.
Sync: sound and picture together
Sound and picture take different routes from your phone to your PC, and the sound usually arrives a little later. Casttit's Sync slider holds the picture back by just enough that your stream shows them together.
- Each kind of phone keeps its own value. Casttit suggests a value measured with real games; Use sets it back.
- Sync changes your stream (the picture in Casttit and OBS). It doesn't change when you hear the sound in your headset.
- To check: in a game, watch something that makes a sharp sound (a shot, a door) and adjust until picture and sound land together in your recording.

Questions
Can my squad hear me through my PC headset's mic?
Not yet. Your teammates come through your PC headset, but your voice still goes through the phone's microphone.
Why is there still sound from my phone?
Check that 'Mute phone speaker' is ticked in Casttit. If you press the phone's volume keys while streaming, Casttit mutes it again at once.
Should I use Bluetooth headphones?
Wired is best while you play. Bluetooth adds a noticeable delay before you hear the game, whatever app you use.
