Use your iPhone with Casttit
Your iPhone needs no app. Casttit for Windows does everything over the USB cable: plug in, tap Trust once, and your game is on your PC.
Before you start
- Install Casttit for Windows: the same Casttit works with Android and iPhone.
- Use your iPhone's own cable (or a good USB-C / Lightning data cable).
1. Plug in and trust this PC
- Unlock your iPhone and plug it into your PC.
- If this PC is new to Casttit's iPhone driver, Casttit sets it up by itself. Windows asks your permission once: choose Yes. If Casttit then asks you to, unplug the iPhone and plug it in again.
- The iPhone asks Trust This Computer? Tap Trust and enter your passcode. This happens once per PC.
2. Start the capture
The first time, Casttit explains two things about iPhone sound (below), then you press Start iPhone capture. After that it starts by itself when you plug in. Your game appears in Casttit on the PC, and its sound plays in your PC headset while the iPhone's speaker goes quiet. To stop, press Stop iPhone capture.
Good to know
- Music or videos pause when the capture starts. That's the iPhone switching its sound to the PC. Start the music or video again and it plays through Casttit.
- "Are you connecting headphones?" The first time, the iPhone may ask what you connected. Either answer works the same; it only asks once.
- The picture follows the iPhone. Turn it sideways for landscape games; Casttit follows.
The iPhone isn't found? See Troubleshooting, especially if Apple Devices or iTunes is installed on your PC.
