Who we are

Casttit is made by CarveIT Labs, Sangamner, Maharashtra, India. CarveIT Labs looks after the information described on this page; "we" and "us" here mean CarveIT Labs.

The Casttit apps

  • Casttit for Windows and the Casttit app for Android send your phone's screen and sound straight to your PC, over the USB cable or your own Wi-Fi. They don't go to any Casttit server.
  • On Android, the app asks to capture the screen and the game sound. It uses them only to send them to your PC, and only while you're casting.
  • When they start, Casttit for Windows and the Android app read one small file from this website to see whether a newer version is out. The request carries nothing about you or your PC (it's like opening a page here).
  • During the beta, Casttit for Windows checks your invite code: once when you enter it, then at each start (at least every two weeks). It sends the code, Casttit's version and a scrambled stand-in for your PC: a one-way hash of Windows' machine ID, from which the ID can't be worked out. It's used only to keep each invite on one PC, and it's stored with your invite (Supabase, Mumbai). Nothing else about you, your PC or your gameplay is sent.
  • Casttit keeps its settings, logs and screenshots on your PC. Logs leave your PC only if you choose to send them to us for help.
  • During the beta Casttit needs no sign-in, only your invite code. When paid plans start, a Casttit account will hold your email, your plan and the PCs you use it on, never your gameplay. This page will say so before that happens.

This website

  • The early-access form collects what you type in: your name, email, channel, where you stream, follower range, phone, PC and note, plus where you came from (for example Instagram).
  • We use it only to invite you to the Casttit beta and to email you about Casttit. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers.
  • It's stored with Supabase, in their Mumbai region. The website itself is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs.
  • No ads, no tracking cookies, no analytics scripts. Fonts are served from this site.

Your choices

  • Email support@casttit.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll reply within 30 days.
  • Every beta email will say how to stop receiving them.

Changes

If this changes, for example when paid plans and accounts start, we'll update this page and the date above first.
