How to stream Free Fire MAX with OBS on your PC
Free Fire matches are fast, and they run on almost any phone. Streaming them from your PC adds what the phone can't: OBS with your facecam, your mic, overlays for custom rooms, and the PC's internet doing the upload.
What you need
- A Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) or Windows 11 PC, 64-bit, with OBS Studio 30.1 or newer.
- Your phone and its USB data cable: an Android phone (Android 10 or newer) with the free Casttit app, or an iPhone, which needs no app.
- Casttit for Windows. The beta is free for invited creators: get early access.
- Wired headphones or a headset on the PC.
1. Get the game onto your PC
- Install Casttit for Windows and plug in your phone. Casttit finds it by itself. On Android, the first time there's a one-time USB setup: Android setup.
- On Android, open the Casttit app, tap Start streaming and share the whole screen. On iPhone, tap Trust if it asks.
- Open Free Fire MAX. It appears in Casttit on your PC, and its sound plays in the headset you picked in Casttit. Your phone goes quiet.
2. A word on sound
We test Casttit with BGMI, where the game sound and the squad's voices come through on Android. Free Fire is next on our test list. Most Android games let their sound be captured; a few block it. If Free Fire stays silent on your PC while other games play, the game is blocking capture: tell us your phone model, and check these fixes first.
Your own voice reaches your squad through the phone's microphone, so keep the phone near you. Your PC headset's mic is for your stream. Other ways to be heard: talk to your squad from your PC.
3. Get the phone ready
- Do Not Disturb on. Your whole screen goes on stream, messages included.
- Graphics your phone holds. Free Fire is light, so many phones keep high frame rates. If the picture stutters in fights, step the game's graphics down rather than Casttit's Quality.
- Leave Bluetooth earbuds off the phone, so voice chat doesn't go to them instead of your PC.
- Keep it plugged in. Over USB the phone charges while you play.
4. OBS, set up once
- In Casttit, press Open OBS preview.
- In OBS, add a Window Capture of [Casttit.exe]: Casttit Preview, set Window title must match and tick Capture Audio. Step by step: Set up OBS.
- Mute Desktop Audio, then add your mic and facecam.
Streaming custom rooms
Custom rooms and tournaments are where Free Fire streams get busy. Make a second OBS scene for the lobby: the room details, your chat and your facecam large, the game small. Switch to the game scene when the match starts. Keep the room password off screen, or viewers will join uninvited.
Clips and Shorts
Short rounds make great Shorts. YouTube can send your live stream out as a vertical version too; for a landscape game, choose Fit to phone width so the whole game shows: go live on YouTube.
Line up sound and picture
Record a few seconds of a fight and step through it: shots and their sound should land together. If not, move Casttit's Sync slider: how to check.

Questions
Free Fire or Free Fire MAX: does the setup change?
No. Both run on your phone the same way, so Casttit and OBS are set up exactly the same. MAX has richer graphics; on an older phone, plain Free Fire may run smoother.
Do I need a capture card to stream Free Fire?
No. Casttit brings the picture and the game sound to your PC over your phone's USB cable.
Can I stream Free Fire from an iPhone on a Windows PC?
Yes. Casttit for Windows captures the iPhone's screen and sound over its USB cable, with no app on the iPhone and no Mac.
