Two downloads: Casttit for your Windows PC, and the Casttit app for your Android phone. iPhone needs nothing on the phone.

The Casttit beta is for invited creators. Your code is in your invite; the personal link in it fills it in. No invite yet? Apply for early access.

iPhone

iPhone with a USB cable

Nothing to install on the iPhone. Install Casttit for Windows, plug the iPhone in, and tap Trust when the iPhone asks (once per PC).

Install on Windows

  1. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep (in Edge: … → Keep). Then open it (Casttit-Setup…).
  2. If Windows says Windows protected your PC: choose More info, then Run anyway. The beta isn't signed yet; the full release will be.
  3. Follow the setup. When Windows asks whether Casttit may make changes (for the phone's USB driver), choose Yes.
  4. Casttit opens by itself at the end.

Smart App Control. If Windows says Smart App Control blocked Casttit, the beta can't run on that PC yet. Please don't turn Smart App Control off for it: the signed version will run there. Tell us, and we'll let you know when it's ready.

Install on Android

  1. On your phone, open this page and tap Download for Android. If the browser warns about the file, choose Download anyway.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android asks to allow apps from this source the first time: turn it on, then go back.
  3. Tap Install. If Google Play Protect asks about an app it doesn't know yet, choose More details, then Install anyway.
  4. Open Casttit and allow the two permissions it asks for: game sound (Android calls it Microphone) and notifications.

Updates. When a new version is out, Casttit on your PC and the phone app tell you, with a link back here.

Your first stream

  1. Open Casttit on your PC. In its sound list, choose your headset.
  2. Plug your phone in with its USB cable. Casttit finds it by itself; the first time it may ask to set up the USB connection (one click).
  3. On Android: tap Start streaming in the Casttit app, then allow screen sharing (Android's button says Share screen, Start or Start now). On iPhone: tap Trust if asked.
  4. In Casttit, press Open OBS preview once. From then on it opens by itself when your phone goes live.

Set up OBS (once)

  1. Add a Window Capture source and choose [Casttit.exe]: Casttit Preview.
  2. Set Window Match Priority to Window title must match.
  3. Turn Capture Audio on, and Capture Cursor off. OBS then records Casttit's sound whichever headset it plays on.
  4. Mute Desktop Audio in the Audio Mixer (it records only the Windows default device, so the game sound could go missing or play twice).

Keep the preview open. It can sit behind other windows, but OBS can't capture it while it's minimised. Wired headphones are best while you play: Bluetooth adds 0.15–0.25 s before you hear the game.

Something not right?

  1. Note the time it happened and what you saw or heard.
  2. In Casttit: Settings → About → Logs folder. Zip that folder.
  3. Email it to support@casttit.com with your phone and PC models. The logs hold Casttit's own messages, never your gameplay.
