How to stream COD Mobile with OBS on your PC
COD Mobile is fast, loud and made for watching. Streaming it from your PC gives you OBS for your facecam, mic and overlays, while the phone only has to play. Here's the setup, and one catch with voice chat worth knowing first.
What you need
- A Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) or Windows 11 PC, 64-bit, with OBS Studio 30.1 or newer.
- Your phone and its USB data cable: an Android phone (Android 10 or newer) with the free Casttit app, or an iPhone, which needs no app.
- Casttit for Windows. The beta is free for invited creators: get early access.
- Wired headphones or a headset on the PC. Bluetooth adds a delay you'll feel in gunfights.
1. Get the game onto your PC
- Install Casttit for Windows and plug in your phone. Casttit finds it by itself. On Android, the first time there's a one-time USB setup: Android setup.
- On Android, open the Casttit app, tap Start streaming and share the whole screen. On iPhone, tap Trust if it asks.
- Open COD Mobile. It appears in Casttit on your PC, and its sound plays in the headset you picked in Casttit.
2. The voice chat catch
When a game turns its microphone on for voice chat, a phone can switch to call-style audio and move sound to a different speaker. COD Mobile players have reported exactly this: game sound dropping from their headphones when the in-game mic comes on, with capture cards and other setups.
We test Casttit with BGMI, where game sound and teammates' voices come through on Android with voice chat on. COD Mobile is next on our test list. Until then:
- Check with your mic both on and off before your first stream.
- If the sound drops when the mic is on, leave the in-game mic off and talk to your squad another way, or tell us your phone model.
- Keep Bluetooth earbuds disconnected from the phone, so voice chat doesn't go to them.
Your voice reaches your squad through a mic on the phone, not your PC headset. Other ways to be heard: talk to your squad from your PC.
3. Get the phone ready
- Do Not Disturb on. Your whole screen goes on stream.
- A frame rate your phone holds. In the game's graphics settings, a steady setting looks better on stream than a higher one that dips in fights.
- Keep it plugged in and cool. Over USB it charges while you play; take the case off on long streams.
4. OBS, set up once
- In Casttit, press Open OBS preview.
- In OBS, add a Window Capture of [Casttit.exe]: Casttit Preview, set Window title must match and tick Capture Audio. Step by step: Set up OBS.
- Mute Desktop Audio, then add your mic and facecam.
COD Mobile's sound is loud. In OBS's Audio Mixer, bring the game down until your voice sits clearly on top; check it in a short test recording.
5. Line up sound and picture
Gunfire makes sync easy to check: record a few seconds and step through it. Each shot's flash and bang should land together. If not, move Casttit's Sync slider: how to check.
6. Go live
Pick your platform and connect OBS: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or compare them.
Call of Duty is a trademark of Activision Publishing, Inc. Casttit isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Activision. Casttit doesn't change or read the game: it shows your phone's screen and sound on your PC.
Questions
Why does the game sound move to my phone when I turn on COD Mobile's mic?
When a game opens its microphone for voice chat, the phone can switch to call-style audio and send it to a different speaker. COD Mobile players report this with capture cards and headphones. If it happens with Casttit, tell us your phone model: we're testing it.
Do I need a capture card to stream COD Mobile?
No. Casttit brings the picture and the game sound to your PC over your phone's USB cable.
Multiplayer or Battle Royale for streaming?
Either works the same way in Casttit and OBS. Multiplayer's short matches keep a stream busy; Battle Royale has quieter stretches for talking to chat.
